Holiday Fun while Helping Out


If you're looking to kick off your December debauchery, here are a couple of ways you can feel good about it:

TOYS for TOTS
On Saturday, December 7,  Neat in Glendale will celebrate Repeal Day a couple days late and rev up for the holidays with a Toys for Tots fundraiser featuring live music, burlesque, and BBQ. Bring an unwrapped toy and get a free drink! Cash and check donations will also be accepted. Festivities start at 6 p.m.

#LAlovesPI Benefit for Haiyan Typhoon Victims
The party keeps going on Sunday, December 8, with the #LAlovesPI party at The Church Key to raise money for the victims of the Haiyan Typhoon. Some of L.A.'s best chefs and mixologists, including Eric Greenspan (The Foundry), Kris Morningstar (Rays+Stark Bar), Ray Garcia (Fig), Anthony Carron (800 Degrees, Top Round) Steven Fretz (The Church Key, Top Round), Steve Samson (Sotto), Perry Cheung (Phorage), Sally Camacho (The Jonathan Club), Kevin Luzande (Acabar), and mixologists Devon Espinosa (The Church Key), Ken Baranda (Hakkasan), Nick Meyer (Bestia, Sotto), and Joey Bernardo (Harvard & Stone), will come together to make this the tastiest party in town. 

$100 (plus small handling fee) gets you an all-inclusive dinner, cocktail reception, and silent auction. The party is from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. 
VIP tickets are $150 and get you an additional champagne reception from 5 p.m.- 6 p.m., some exclusive bites, and a gift bag courtesy of Sherry Yard

Everything has been donated, and 100% of the ticket price will go to Gawad Kalinga, a grassroots organization assisting relief efforts at the forefront of the disaster in the Philippines.
